#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

As the founder of the lifestyle website TheChicSite.com and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.

With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle--and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

I’m grateful that a successful young woman is vulnerable enough to put it all out there and stand her ground while not claiming to be perfect or that she is perfection now that she has overcome. I had so many takeaways from this book. Now for my teen to read it. 💗

I’ve read 2 chapters and can’t bring myself to read anymore, it’s just silly with dime store advice
  • Description doesn’t mention this is a book for Christians...

I have mixed feelings about this book. Disappointed that I didn’t realize it’s directed toward Christians (and if you aren’t one a lot of the advice is meaningless). I also find it odd that the point of the book is that YOU are in control and then there are chapters where we are told to find peace with the fact that “God is in control”. Wish I had done my HW before buying.
  • Girl, don’t read this.

This is another rich white lady spewing prosperity gospel. You can get it if you really want, and if not it’s your own fault be you didn’t keep the promise to yourself. Sure, cause that’s how it goes if you’re poor, disabled or facing systemic oppression. Her interpretation of the Bible is adventurous at best, and the way she talks about her children’s biological parents is despicable. How Christian of her judging them for their diseases. Girl, you don’t get to tell me what to do.
  • I don’t get it

I listened to part of the audiobook and couldn’t bring myself to waste my time finishing it. This book seems to be written for people who are completely insecure and looking for approval from others. The “advice” seems like a no-brainer. I truly don’t get how this book is so popular.
