  • Mind Blowing

This is book reminded me of how much our mind controls our future. Its the choices we make daily that determines our greatness. Highly recommended, must read.

I never write reviews, but wouldn’t ya know? I used the #5SecondRule and the “never let an important word go unspoken” rule to decide to write a review, ha! All jokes aside, this has hands down been one of the best books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I’ve struggled with so much self-doubt, overthinking, analysis paralysis, and self defeating thoughts but this book and Mel’s insights have really put a lot into perspective. I now understand what true confidence is, the courage to act despite your fears. Small acts of everyday courage builds the confidence I know deep down I have. Words cannot describe the benefit this has been to my life and I have great hope and anticipation for what the future holds! Read this book!!! You have less than 5 seconds to make a decision, make the right one. Thank you Mel for this monumental work, it’s a game changer!

Great read. You can almost feel yourself evolving as a person with every flip of a page. Definitely something to share with the people I love in hopes to see them change as much as I did! Thanks Mel!

Great book. Looking forward to my two college classes next school year. My journey begins today. #5SECONDRULE. I’m only 16 years old and can’t wait to live the rest of my life to my fullest potential. Thanks Mel Robbins

Just what you need to push yourself into activity or push yourself away from negativity. It’s practical and it works!!
  • Repetitive

I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I read it. But it definitely got repetitive, quick & often. What was said in 16-17 Chapters really could have been said in half of that without all the fillers and excessive testimonials. While I would definitely recommend it to a friend because it contains gems, I wish it came in a “meat and potatoes” version. And this is from an avid reader.
  • Not sure what the buzz is about

    By MoFo3000
Mel Robbins never really got around to explaining exactly how to use the five second rule. She basically just reiterated what was sent to her by people who used the rule that they probably got from her Ted Talk or from listening to an interview she gave. I regret spending the money on the book and the time I took to read it. Pretty frustrating experience.
  • It Caused A "shift" In my Life

    By Iamdoechii
Highly recommended for anyone who can't understand why they're stuck in the minds and life.
  • Waste of time.

This book is a self inflating book, kinda like this whole poor me thing, then, BAM, look at me. I swear the whole book talks about what social media readers have sent in. Nothing profound. HERE IS THE SUMMARY: Before you do anything, count backward from 5-1 and re-think your decision again. You welcome, I just saved you $19.
