Ten years after the high-profile kidnapping of two young boys, only one returns home in Harlan Coben’s gripping Myron Bolitar thriller.

A decade ago, kidnappers grabbed two boys from wealthy families and demanded ransom, then went silent. No trace of the boys ever surfaced. For ten years their families have been left with nothing but painful memories and a quiet desperation for the day that has finally, miraculously arrived: Myron Bolitar and his friend Win believe they have located one of the boys, now a teenager. Where has he been for ten years, and what does he know about the day, more than half a life ago, when he was taken? And most critically: What can he tell Myron and Win about the fate of his missing friend? Drawing on his singular talent, Harlan Coben delivers an explosive and deeply moving thriller about friendship, family, and the meaning of home.

  • A Home Run

I read this novel two times - the first quite by accident. The story and people and emotions touched my heart and my need for, well, just a good book. Then I went back and read all about Myron and Win, from their beginnings. Only then did I allow myself this second read. It is a gift to all of us who crave beauty and humor in life.

  • Amazing

I just finished the last page and I'm legitimately in tears, for more reasons then one. Harlan Coben is an inspiration and does it once again! Fast paced, thrilling with a dash of comedic humor and romance this is Coben at his very best. Even if your not familiar with the Myron Boltiar series this book will still have you on the edge of your seat. A MUST READ!!!
  • Amazing I couldn't put it down!

Couldn't put the book down. Please tell me that someone else cried at the end, I did two times. Once on the cliff with Brooke and Patrick and especially after Win's secret was unveiled with his dance with Ema. I loved this book!

  • Thanks Harlan for bringing Myron back!

So nice that you brought Myron and Win back to us! I loved it. Great plot. Thought it was cool that you let Win talk in the first person. You took some risk there but it worked. Word of caution, Win doesn't need to grow a conscience. We like him just the way he has always been...cool, aloof, cold, with no remorse for his lifestyle and actions. Thanks again for bringing both of them back to us in this novel. Well done!
  • Not his best... might even be his worst...

    By Longhorn5555
I've always enjoyed this author, and the abolition series in particular, but this latest effort was a real struggle to stay engaged. I almost quit at several points, but sadly I stuck with it in the hope it would get better... it didn't.... The essential plot was fine, in theory, but the writing was just not up to his usual standards. This does have the essential characters, but presents little more than shallow superficial contrived caricatures of each of them... Basically, seems like this one was knocked out quick for the cash.... if so, nothing wrong with that I guess ... I just hope it doesn't become the norm. Everybody gets a free pass so I'll try his next one and see.
  • His best work.

Love all these characters. They're all funny in their own way. It was fun seeing Myron and Mickeys worlds collide. Wouldn't be a Harlan Coben book without a surprise hook and twist ending. Loved it!
